01

Intake

Know What You Have.

Start with an inventory of formats, volumes, condition, and priorities. Identify rights information, sensitive material, and the moments your team needs first. Agree on handling, naming, and a practical preservation plan before capture begins.

Output: A Prioritized Archive Plan
02

Digitize

Protect The Original. Capture The Detail.

Match the playback workflow to each tape format. Monitor picture and sound during capture, identify damaged or unstable media, and agree on master and access-copy formats. Quality checks and exception notes make the handoff traceable.

Output: Preservation Masters + Access Copies
03

Index

Make Every Moment Findable.

Organize the collection with consistent titles, dates, people, events, and other useful metadata. Discuss transcripts and searchable descriptions where appropriate. The goal is a library your producers can use without searching shelf by shelf.

Output: An Organized, Searchable Collection
04

Activate

Give The Archive Its Next Chapter.

Identify material for new programs, documentaries, social edits, educational content, or licensing discussions. Connect the archive with Goal Line Playbook to explore programming and distribution opportunities, subject to your rights and clearances.

Output: A Content Activation Roadmap

08 · THE LEGACY

Built by John. Rebuilt by Joe.

The same walls.
A new frontier.

The idea began on the Madden Cruiser. John Madden needed a production home where he could record without leaving Northern California. Joe Madden helped turn that idea into Goal Line Studios.

In 2023, Joe transformed the facility again—installing its 106-foot XR volume and building a world-class home for the next generation of film, sports, broadcasting, branded content, and original programming.

The legacy is the foundation under everything we build next.
